Meet the Midwife

Hi! I’m Sydney! I grew up in Michigan, where family and a strong sense of home shaped who I am. I’ve been married to my incredible husband for a decade, and he is a U.S. Air Force veteran with 21 years of dedicated service. I am a mother whose life has been profoundly shaped by birth and family. I am a sister. I am also a U.S. Navy military police veteran, and that season of service taught me steadiness, preparation, and how to remain calm and present in moments that truly matter.

I’ve felt called to midwifery since I was a little girl- long before I had words for physiology or clinical care. That calling has deepened through my service, motherhood, and lived experience, but its heart has remained the same: a desire to walk alongside families during one of the most meaningful transitions of their lives. I bring presence, care, and reverence into this work, honoring birth as both powerful and deeply human.

Postpartum Care That Doesn’t End at Six Weeks

Postpartum is not a moment. It’s a season. And for many parents, it’s the season where support quietly fades just as new challenges begin. Care with Moonlit Midwifery & Wellness extends beyond the traditional postpartum window. In addition to routine postpartum visits, families in our care receive complimentary extended postpartum check-ins throughout the first year if they desire. Because your well-being matters long after the bleeding stops and the casseroles disappear.

This is about continuity. About being seen. About honoring the full arc of the postpartum experience; physically, emotionally, and relationally.

Love Notes From Families

  • “From the very first conversation, I felt deeply seen and heard. Her presence is calm, grounded, and reassuring. I always felt informed, respected, and supported in every decision.”

    —Samantha

  • "What stood out most was how intentional her care felt. She took the time to explain things clearly and always made space for questions.. I felt listened to and respected, and that made such a difference in my experience.”

    —Morgan

  • "“She made space for me too, not just my wife. I never felt in the way or unsure of my role...she helped us feel confident as a team.”

    —Josh

  • "Supporting families alongside Sydney is a joy and a privilege. She is warm, steady and compassionate. When Sydney enters a birth space, she brings the perfect combination of knowledge and experience paired with honor and respect for the unique story unfolding in front of her."

    April Myers, Doula

    Cherishing Birth, NOCO

  • "Sydney impressed me with her clear-eyed, measured approach to serving mothers. I felt immediately reassured by her grasp of practical skills and her communication style - calm, easy to understand, and respectful. This is a midwife I'd want for my own babies!"

    Geniel, Doula

    Becoming Birth Services, Laramie WY.

  • "Sydney entered our home with peace when I was feeling distraught and out of ideas. She took charge of problem solving and pursuing labor progress. Helping me, and my husband make decisions and ask for the tools we needed. When I had to be transferred from the home setting, she was tender and on my side. I, we, are forever grateful for the light she brings to some of our hardest memories.

    -Erika

  • I felt deeply seen, heard, and respected throughout my prenatal care. From the beginning, it was clear that Sydney practices in a truly client-directed way. My choices, values, and intuition were always centered. Care was thoughtful, individualized, and never one-size-fits-all. When complications required a hospital transfer for delivery, Sydney stayed by my side and was a steadfast and unwavering advocate for my wishes in an environment that did not naturally support what I wanted. Information was always shared in an honest, empowering, and non–fear-based way, allowing me to make fully informed decisions with confidence and trust in my body. This experience left me feeling strong, supported, and deeply grateful. I wholeheartedly recommend Sydney to anyone seeking compassionate, personalized, and empowering care."
